Another Flawed Report by FAWC
In response to the Farm Animal Welfare Council’s (FAWC) Report on the Welfare of Farmed Animals at Slaughter or Killing Part 2: White Meat Animals, Shechita UK issued the following statement
"Whilst we are studying FAWC's report on the Welfare of Farmed Animals at Slaughter or Killing Part 2: White Meat Animals, we note with dismay that FAWC persists with its unsubstantiated allegations against the humaneness of Shechita, repeating misrepresentations made in their Red Meat Report recommendations in 2003, which were subsequently rejected by the Government.
We will be responding in detail to the Report in due course.”
